Do people look at men who like musicals and plays and stuff like that as being gay?

I'll admit I like a few esspecially Wicked, but I am not gay. I have noticed in movies and stuff that people who like musicals are pointed out as being gay. Do you think it is gay for me to like that kind of stuff because I am not. I am afraid people will think I am just because I like a few musicals. But I feel that I am free to like what I want to like.

Really I just luv guys who like the theatre and all artistic pursuits,golly it just shows they have an open mind ,over those who think it's the**IN THING** to hang around Bars n Night Clubs trying to PU women....

No I don't see it that way. A person's sexually shouldn't be based upon the job they have. Although some people out there may judge a person based on that alone which I don't think is right.

I love musicals and used to watch quite a number of school plays and often even told the guys how great a job they were doing. Don't allow others to make you feel insecure about what you enjoy doing.

In fact even some churches out there will do plays and yes even the guys will sing and mind you they do have really good voices. They are pretty good actors too for a church play.

Consider yourself lucky to have enough guts to go on stage. I wish I could because I wanted to try that but I am too shy. I think because when I was a kid I had a part in a play and I forgot my lines. The one girl actually made it funny when I forgot my lines.

Don't focus so much on what others think. You just do your job and be the best you can be! If there are roles that you don't think you cant do don't do it because of the money because in some cases there will be times that you may decide that a role is right for you. It's good to have conviction as well and stand by it.

Some may. I don't. I know tons of guys who like musicals, and even audition for local productions! If people do think that, you need to talk to better people, because musicals are amazing and you are free to be yourself. As Elphaba once said, "You shouldn't let statements like that bother you."

You're right, be who you want to be. Take no notice of ignorant people who make assumptions based on your cultural tastes. There are plenty of people with a more intelligent attitude than that.

Usually people who do not do theatre are more susceptible to that conclusion than people who do.

As someone who's done theatre for ten years... I never make that assumption.

No...I mean, they CAN be gay....but I mean...there's NOTHING wrong with liking musicals....the appreation of the arts....is actually HOT.....so...I mean...i'd RATHER a man like musicals...I do....I wish I had a b/f who liked things I did......
