The best depiction of how Nefertiti looked can be found in the sculptures found in the studio of the artist Thothmes in the city of Aketaten, which were discovered by a German archaeological team in about 1912.

The most famous bust of Nefertiti now resides in the Berlin Museum in Germany, and is painted in lifelike colors. Nefertiti is depicted with fair skin and dark eyes. Because she is wearing a blue conical crown, the color of her heir cannot be determined. Like most noble Egyptians, Nefertiti probably shaved her head and wore wigs or crowns. This both was for ritual cleanliness (Nefertiti was a priestess of the Aten), and also to prevent fleas and lice.

nefertiti was originally from the country of mitanni which means she spoke an indo-aryan language and had an olive-skin color. her eyes were most likely black and her hair was black.
