Well in my case, I got my toungue pierced a little less than a year ago. I had a few simple piercing before like my belly and nose and ears. One day I saw someone with a toungue ring and I liked the way it looked, and I would think about getting one but I was afraid people would think I was a "whore" just because I had my toungue pierced and things like that. And then I started thinking that you only live once and I'm young at the moment (20) and I'm not going to be young forever so why not get it now instead of possibly regreting that i didnt get it when I'm older, because I plan on taking it out in a few years when the time feels right, I dont want to be a mother with a toungue ring LoL And that was another reason I got it cause i can just take it out. So I basiclly did it for myself, as something I wanted to do while I'm young. Not for sexual reasons or to just be "cool" as others said. I did it cause I liked it and I wanted it and I didn't care what other people thought and thats all.

While I wouldn't do that to myself - I am nothing if not a coward and wince at the very idea of piercing my tongue - I understand that it's just something that is in fashion at this time, and there are people who would do anything at all to remain in fashion.

Well I had one for 3 yrs but took it out cuz i couldnt blow bubbles. But I got mine just because I like tats and piercings, not to be cool or to use it for sexual reasons

some ppl do it cuz its cool and its the new style and some are followers that do wat others do(monkey see monkey do..lol)....or some do it to make them look like a hottie or something but on some ppl honestly
