Freelance logo designers seem to charge a huge amount - $2000 for the concept and then more money every time you need it for anything.

Choosing a logo is a fun but difficult decision. As a small business owner it is something I constantly putting off because it is so expensive.

Have you seen sitepoint.com, they charge $20US to make a contest thread, you then start a contest with prize money (at least $100US) and talented designers will create a logo for you to pick from.

You the designer then get to charge every time they want it a different size.

My logo is a little star ANISE, email me if you want to quote me to put it into a fancy graphic.

Well, it depends upon the quality, creativity and shapes of the logo. But i think professional logo design cost starts from $250 since many friends of mine are professional logo designers that's why I am aware from the price. Complex design's cost starts from $400 - $500.

P.S. Try to make your logo creative & unique so that people can love your work.

Regards

Before offering a rate plan to your customer, please consider the deals being offered by leading websites in logo design industry. There are around hundreds of websites offering logo design services. Go to there packages/prices/plans page. This will help you asses the price you should offer to your customer. A few of the websites, I browsed for you are http://99designs.com/logo-design and http://getalogoonline.com/ and if I average their package, you will find that you should at least charge $25 to your customer for each logo concept you send to him/her.
