Because a large portion of the people here are ages 10 - 17 and have a lot of nothing to say. They get a kick out of answering all of these questions in the most insulting way because they will not get caught or punished for being rude and vile.

They forget other people on the internet are "real" people with feelings and families ... kind of like how people get road rage and rude when driving because they don't think about the other person in the other car, they think of it more as a car.
People need to think about each person as though they are a personal friend or family member who they care about.

Because they have the power of anonymity and you can't hurt them. In real life do you think a racist would get away with half the things they can say on here without a multitude of people jumping them? It's just more "safe" online.

Because they have a screen to hide behind.
You're free to say a lot more online than in person.
If half of the things I read in here were said "in the real world", I think a lot of people would have a few bruises, at the least.

Because in real life they are cowards. They use the internet to hide behind. This way no one can see their face or beat their a$$!!

On here they feel invisible , like being able to get rid of all of the pent up anger or something . Just don't take it personally and you will be okay .

Because it's easier to insult and harass someone you're not seeing face-to-face. In real life they'd get beat to death or slapped.

Because you can't get to them. People have alot of "ba!!s" behind closed doors (internet) than in person. They don't know you and you don't know them.
