I am 20 years old and about to have my first child.. I have worked some before, but it has never been a substantial amount of time, so i can't put it on an application as work history. It wouldn't look good. After i have the baby i am going to stay home for a few months, but then i have to get a job. I don't want to work at fast foor or gas stations, nothing wrong with that, but its not my thing. Is there any advice you can give on things i can do to up my chances on getting a decent job?

What type of education do you have? If you have some college, you might be able to get a job as an administrative or office assistant. As for your work history, how brief were your jobs? Even if it was only for a few months, it would probably look better than no experience at all.

If you don't have much education or work experience, it will be difficult to get an ideal job. You will have to start at the bottom and work your way up. There are several job search sites out there e.g. Monster.com. You can also try networking with your friends and relatives to see if they know of any job openings or if they can provide references for you.

I am a stay at home mom and looked into several businesses to start a home based business and decided on Mary Kay for several reasons. Low start up costs, you make HALF of everything that you sell, there are no territories and no quotas so you can do one party a year or one party a day (you choice) and best of all you don't need any experience to get started!!!! There are two ways to make money immediately after becoming a consultant (1) selling the product (2) recruiting (you earn 4-13% commission).

Mary Kay is and has been the #1 brand of skin care and color cosmetics since 1993 and is 100% guaranteed even after the product is used which makes your customers VERY happy. Customer base is larger because everyone washes their faces and a majority of women wear at least a minimal amount of make-up and this is one business that has products for men.

The company has been around forever and has a great reputation (as long as you don't push your customers) so the product sells itself and a huge difference than other products is that with Mary Kay everyone goes home and washes the products down the drain which gives you the opportunity to have very loyal customers who will re-order from you frequently.

What worked for me while my family was young and led to a great job: temping! I ended up with a job that paid $3 more per hour and I received great bonuses.

It also always pays to take a class each semester if you can fit it into your schedule.

Mention any volunteer work or special projects as well. Perphaps a functional format may work for you.

It will be pretty hard to get other jobs with not much work experience. I suggest just dropping off tons of Resumes at places that do work for you, and hope for the best. Since you don't have any time to get that work experience.

You can't necessarily get a great job with your little experience. However, you should put whatever experience you have down on paper when you apply. It won't look bad, as you think, because you're young, and employers will understand your circumstances.

undecided there are various strategies outdoors of those which you have already suggested. in spite of the shown fact that, lots of people who learn history use it as a stepping stone to get into regulation degree colleges. so if so, in a roundabout way, it must be clever for regulation. in my view, i think of that's in basic terms an excellent factor to have for inner maximum progression of one's information of their international. yet no person will pay you for a greater suggested outlook on existence.
