To subtract (or add) fractions, first you need to set up all your fractions with a common denominator.
2 3/7 = 14/7 + 3/7 = 17/7 (The other way to do this is to multiply the whole number (2) by the denominator (7) and add the numerator (3), so 2*7+3)
10 = 70/7
Once you have both terms written as fractions with the same denominator, you just subtract the two numerators.
70/7 - 17/7 = 53/7
If you want to reduce the fraction so it's not improper (with a bigger numerator than denominator), divide 53 by 7. You get 7, with a remainder of 4, so 53/7 = 7 4/7.

What's between the 2 and 3? Is it assumed to be multiplication? If so it is 6 divided by 7. Then subtract the answer from 10.
