Heyyy! What up?! I'm mixed with black and white, and honestly, I've never really been treated any differently. But now it seems like people are starting to notice and ask a lot of annoying stupid questions.
I hate when my black friends are like, "Ugh! Why are you acting so white?! You're the whitest black girl I know" And I'm like HELLO! I do have another side to me
And I hate when my white friends, whenever we are gossiping about hot celebrities, they will always name black celebrities because they assume that that is the only type of men that is fit for me to date, or they think I'm acting "too ghetto" sometimes.
Haha, oh well, that's life. I think I'm lucky to be mixed. I get to see the world from both sides. I always thought, if I was gonna come back as something else, I'd wanna come back as me, because I love being mixed! :-D
And, random fact, I know, lol; I was looking in time magazine and there are about 3.5-4 million mixed people in the US...fun facts to know! :-)~

I am not mixed, I am white, but my 2 kids at mixed black/white. My youngest went through many changes growing up, he is still growing up hes 15 now but when he was around 10 he got confused about who he is. I tried to talk to him but the older he got the more he turned from a sweet kid to a really big jerk. He hangs out with redneck trash now. I love him very much and he respects me, but no one else. Mouth on him. I like maybe 2 of the kids he calls his friends. My oldest 16 is cool with everyone and never had a issue with who he was. I can not say how you feel, only how i feel as a mother. Talk to someone. Don't let your feeling turn to hate. Mixed kids are beautiful and make beautiful kids.

I'm white....my son is a mix of Mexican, Filipino, Spanish, french and white....
I don't think he will struggle though. Tolerance is taught in the home....
I do have a black/white friend that I've known forever and she did struggle a little but ultimately embraced that she could relate with both sides. She is now a well adjusted, normal human who only sees people.
You should feel special that you are mixed...it really does make for beautiful children...Just my thoughts....

Mixed? Whats that...who ain't mixed with something. (ha!!!)
No one is pure anything. The very few who are, sometimes risk genetic problems. So being mixed with something is a blessing.
If you experience negative thoughts about who you are and what you are, then evaluate why you feel this way and seek to change your thoughts by researching about your heritage and the people you come from-all people of the earth are great. Also, know that you are unique and wonderful that alone should make you proud to be somebody.

Some pretty good answers but I think Lizzy and Shepherd say it best. Your dog does not "understand English" as we would know it but relies on repetition of a familiar sound along with your body language to know what to do. You could say "Rumpelstiltskin" and it could have, arguably, the same meaning as "heel". I once had a wolf-shepherd cross that I adopted from a pound and taught him, for reasons that are not important here, entirely in German. He (obviously) had no more trouble with it than any other human language. It is best, however, to use a one-syllable word when giving a command to a dog. It just makes the translation easier for the dog. Remember, they are not "trying to understand a different language", they are trying to understand an entirely different species.

I'm mixed with Native American, like most black people in America. Alot are usually mixed with Native American, or white, many don't even know it.

I was the only white/asian mix I knew until about my sophmore year in highschool. I never really thought much on it though since in America white and asian couplings are actually quite rare.

I know of a lot of kids but Im not one. I have taken care of them and the best thing they say is to be able to make a choice of who they are and stick with it, not caring what others think and most of the time they have been accepted.
