I'm in the process of setting up a shoutcast radio station and need some content. No solicitations please.

For those not in the know... shoutcast is a community that lists internet radio stations. Internet radio is not regulated by the FCC in the United States.

I am not able to do any mainstream music as that requires a license (even for a noncommercial station) and I don't have funding for that. Unsigned and indie bands are OK though.

I would think unsigned rock bands would make an interesting format. I'm not sure as to how involved your process is but I don't think you would have a hard time getting personal or phone interviews with unsigned bands since they would want to have another means of getting their songs heard. Just a suggestion.

Make a comp, for the Best 20 songs will be made into a compilation.

Using the Indie Bands. Broadcast their songs on the radio, and let the people that hear it vote.

20 Highest votes get made into a CD??
