I have an old Parellel Zip 100mb drive and would like to use it on a new XP computer w/out a parellel port. I bought a parellel to USB cable and installed the most recent Iomega software but no drive letter is assigned . I've tried all the recommended steps but not no dice. Does anyone know if a 100mb parellel Zip will work with a parellel to USB converter cable and, if so, how do I get XP to recognize the darn thing?

Is it a desktop? If so, why not just plug it into the parallel port?

For 100meg, you can get a new drive for practically nothing, unless you're trying to recover something from the zip drive.
