I've been there a number of times. Both when i was and was not trying. I was always still a little dissapointed even when i was happy to know i wasn't. Nothing to worry about though. It's better to be ready for a baby and want the pregnancy then to have it happen unexpectantly. If you are trying, just remember that it is common for it to take about 6 months for you to get pregnant ( it took about 4 months of trying for me).

Well-that actually happened to me.I took a test and it came back positive-and my period was almost a week late.My hubby and I got all excited even though we had a 6 month old baby we knew we could handle another one that soon.Well I took a 2nd and 3rd pregnancy test and they both came back negative-I was soooooo upset and I ended up getting my period not too long after.
Thankfully I am now almost 34 weeks pregnant again-and the positive was correct this time!

Are you saying find out you're not pregnant after thinking you were and getting excited about it? It's rough. But if you want to be pregnant, you can always try next month! Have a good cry, then try again!

For the next time, try not to get your hopes up. Just to be safe. I think it would be a little similar to having a miscarriage- getting so happy about the baby, and then miscarry... it would be very sad. But you have to stay positive, and pray and hopefully things will turn out well!

Be a lot more careful with the birth control the next time around. Research the best type of birth control for you and your partner

I've done that before, several times. It's definitely no fun. Of course, miscarrying and not being able to conceive even four years after that is worse ^^;
Me, bitter? Nah...
But seriously, don't put too much hope into it, it feels terrible when you get let down again and again.

If the guy who supposedly got you pregnant was also disappointed, then discuss trying to have one and keep going for it. At least the practice will be fun!

I would have a cry and then start planning for next month and just keep going till you are pregnant (if that's what you want)! Good luck.

I think it means you are not totally ready to have a baby, and that is a good thing to know. Take your time-it's a big decision.
