i mean when ur young u tend to believe ur parents are perfect & u want to be just exactly like them when u grow up and u dont think their capable of making mistakes. but sometimes when u get older & see their faults and failures the image gets shattered & u feel a little betrayed. perhaps seeing ur parents as more human & having mistakes can make them seem like even more of a hero tho...

Never!! I lost my Dad when I was young, so my Mom raise us herself, learning she is human, with imperfections and faults makes her my idol.

I have NEVER idolized my parents ESPECIALLY my "father" - although I love my mom to death shes a wonderful person, I never want to be like her.

I kind of created myself and my own way of life. I learned only a few things from them, but not enough to idolize them.

I still think my dad is the coolest person in the world. My mom, not so much, but I still love her to bits.

i've never met my dad & never idolized the mom. I hope my children will love & honor me but not idolize me, that's for God.
