Some of the video's on youtube have over 8 million views each. That's an awful lot. I was wondering if anyone knew whether that was 8 million people individually? like from 8 million IP addresses? or just 8 million views all together? and do they only count people who have youtube accounts? or anyone who views the video? Was just curious. Serious answers only please.

It's views per video. Not how many different people have seen it.
The same way programmes like American Idol say 20 million viewers voted.
No. It means 20 million votes were received.
