why do friends among girls love calling each-other '*****' ? i cant undestand this

Girls love calling each others, for the same reason boys love to hang out with each other!!! Dahg!!!!!

my best friend call each other that name all the time. it just gives us a reason to laugh. its kind of a race to see who will say it first, then we laugh about it.
