When I was single I had a friend w/ benefits. Worked out fine for us but we didn't have to keep it secret. The only real problem w/ friends with benefits is that the friend could start to want more. I didn't have that problem. I found a long term BF and ended the benefits part of our friendship. He was fine w/ that and we continued to just be friends.

No it is not ok these days!! Friends with benefits is the reason AIDS is reaching such a high point!! have more respect for yourself!! casual sex is a thing of the pass because crabs and all the other things you can catch are out there just waiting so be your own best judge!!!! To each it's own but don't say you wasn't warned if you find yourself in one of these situations. I mean you could catch any of these things from being in a commited relationship as well so don't get me wrong but all in the same sense at least you will know exactly who to go to with the problem if something should ocurr but if you open your legs for casual sex then you can't be mad with the other person if you catch something in the process simply because you accepted the fact that you were not the only one that person was fouling around with in the 1st place

Sure i thin its okay as long as both of you have a mutual understanding that its sex and nothing more. I dont think you'll have much problems if both of you are single. If one of you is in a relationship that i wouldnt suggest doing it. There is the problem that one of you might get attached though. Its probably a nice kind of friend to have when you are single but once you have a relationship its best to end it.

Sounds like he's masturbating to her. It's not a bad thing - girls in relationships masturbate to other people all the time. I have, but it doesn't mean I imagine other guys when I have sex with my boyfriend. I love him, but I'm human, and humans, by nature, are not sexually satisfied by one thing forever. That's not to say cheating is good; I don't cheat and I doubt your bf is either. Masturbation = fantasy. It wouldn't be normal if you were his every fantasy ever.

There are many people that have 'friends with benefits'. If two people agree to it and have an understanding that they can both date others its can be fun. If one or both are married then it can get a little sticky and nasty if a spouse finds out.
Think about it and you will arrive at your own answer.
I know of married people that have that arrangement due to health or other physical issues with their spouses.

I will be your friend lmao. Just kidding....well it depends on your current marital status. If you are married and you wife has not a shread of problem with it...then go for it. I could find a compromise if i were you. Just pray that it doesnt ruin your friendship with that person.

For the most part, it'll be good for a little while but then blow up in a huge cloud of drama and at least one person will get hurt.

No, it's not OK. People who write TV shows aim to captivate their audiences by shocking them. And FWB is shocking to lots of people. The sad thing is, some people are starting to think it's OK, because they see it on TV. Have a nice day!

no. sex, making out, etc. can make a huge impact on the friendship, just like it does with any other relationship, especially if a mutual friend leaks the relationship to other people, thus they find out about it. personally, i think it's awkward to make out with your friend.
