NO WAY ! Your baby still has to go through all of the following to be born a healthy baby
The end of the eighth week marks the end of the "embryonic period" and the beginning of the "fetal period".
Weeks 9 to 12
the fetus reaches a length of 3.2 inches
the head comprises nearly half of the fetus' size
the face is well formed
eyelids close and will not reopen until about the 28th week
tooth buds appear for the baby teeth
limbs are long and thin
the fetus can make a fist with its fingers
genitals appear well differentiated
red blood cells are produced in the liver
Weeks 13 to 16
the fetus reaches a length of about 6 inches
a fine hair develops on the head called lanugo
fetal skin is almost transparent
more muscle tissue and bones have developed, and the bones become harder
the fetus makes active movements
sucking motions are made with the mouth
meconium is made in the intestinal tract
the liver and pancreas produce their appropriate fluid secretions
Week 20
the fetus reaches a length of 8 inches
lanugo hair covers entire body
eyebrows and lashes appear
nails appear on fingers and toes
the fetus is more active with increased muscle development
"quickening" usually occurs (the mother can feel the fetus moving)
fetal heartbeat can be heard with a stethoscope
Week 24
the fetus reaches a length of 11.2 inches
the fetus weighs about 1 lb. 10 oz.
eyebrows and eyelashes are well formed
all the eye components are developed
the fetus has a hand and startle reflex
footprints and fingerprints forming
alveoli (air sacs) forming in lungs
Weeks 25 to 28
the fetus reaches a length of 15 inches
the fetus weighs about 2 lbs. 11 oz.
rapid brain development
nervous system developed enough to control some body functions
eyelids open and close
respiratory system, while immature, has developed to the point where gas exchange is possible
a baby born at this time may survive, but the possibilities for complications and death remain high
Weeks 29 to 32
the fetus reaches a length of about 15-17 inches
the fetus weighs about 4 lbs. 6 oz.
rapid increase in the amount of body fat
rhythmic breathing movements occur, but lungs are not fully mature
bones are fully developed, but still soft and pliable
fetus begins storing iron, calcium, and phosphorus
Week 36
the fetus reaches a length of about 16-19 inches
the fetus weighs about 5 lbs. 12 oz. to 6 lbs. 12 oz.
lanugo begins to disappear
increase in body fat
fingernails reach the end of the fingertips
a baby born at 36 weeks has a high chance of survival, but may require some medical interventions
Weeks 37 to 40
considered full-term at 37 weeks
may be 19 to 21 inches in length
lanugo is gone except for on the upper arms and shoulders
fingernails extend beyond fingertips
small breast buds are present on both sexes
head hair is now coarse and thicker

I like your question and I love children. I went through 5 pregnancies and I had a very hard time because, I threw up every day for 6 months. I am not a fan of abortion or pro life. I see your question as a health issue more than religion or politics as usual. Yes, we are in the 21 TH Century and people are moving ahead.People who do not want children then they can give their children for adoption. No abortion and no Pro life. I do not have to see people kill each other about pregnancy issue. So people have more time to cope with Global warming, overpopulation, outsourcing,12 million illegal, drug and alcohol used personal debt, college loan, escalation of wars and Nation debt 3 trillion dollars that our people are facing like now. ( my personal opinion )

I had a 28 weeker and let me tell you, it was NO FUN! I had said to my husband and a couple of friends that if I could guarantee that if nothing would happen to the baby, and that if everything would be okay that I would want to deliver early (I had crippling vomiting all day every day). I was an idiot... my water broke at 26 weeks and he was born at 28, it was a terrible time, so scary and emotional, hard on my marriage, hard on my other child, hard on my finances, yada yada yada. If I could do it again (can't... no more babies for me) I would go all the way to term.

its not really possible and never will be.. not for them to actually be BORN anyway.. the lungs are nowhere near developed enough to breathe, and any type of artificial breathing like a ventilator for that long a period of time would definitely cause health problems and disabilities. there might some day many years from now be a possibility of an artificial womb of some sort in which to create a child but thats a different scenario..

Are you asking if I would choose this over carrying the baby to term? If so, no way. We have a 40 week gestation (on average), and it's working out well for us as a species. Why abandon something natural just because new technology is here? To me, it would be like hooking yourself up to dialysis even though your kidneys work just fine.

I honestly have had to bury 2 human beings whom i become extremely on the fringe of. a chum, and an aunt. The discomfort I felt even as they died... guy, i'll in consumer-friendly words imagine that it doesn't justify the discomfort a mom and father might want to experience even as they have lost a baby. yet to loose somewhat one? The affliction might want to be insufferable. no longer getting to do not ignore that kid, once you've carried them for any era of time... I pray it truly is a few thing i'll by no ability undergo. i do not get closure from funerals. Funerals, are meant to be a social gathering of life... a very last fare-nicely. I say so long at funeral, and allow closure locate me later on. they're no longer continuously appeared to be that way once you've lost someone on the fringe of you (fantastically in the experience that they are youthful with their total life ahead of them), in spite of the undeniable fact that it helps you realize more effective so even as the questioning procedure is more effective logical. it truly is more effective effortless for the grieving procedure to commence after a funeral because the reality has set in. Closure takes months even years to set in. A funeral shouldn't could be justified. every person who say's a funeral isn't worth squat (or any finicky version) has never had a damaged coronary heart. it truly is lack of documents on thier behalf.

No, I wouldn't do it. I love being pregnant and I wouldn't want to miss a minute of it. I'd rather my baby be born without relying on the "tubes" and such. I'll gladly wait until I'm big and fat for my baby to be born.
