I got a 2wire modem for free. so how do i install it? Do I need a CD to install it? or Can I use my sbc yahoo CD?

Call the sbc support people and have them walk you through it. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble.

I'm not sure the support people will help if you didn't buy the product. You could download the software, I'm sure. Just go to the website and navigate to your product.
