You most likely would look better just with your own God given nails and eyes. Forget the black nail polish and the eye liner. If you are hanging around other girls that are wearing that stuff, you are with the wrong crowd.

well right now i am 12 and going to be thirteen in like 2 months.....i started wearing lipstick at the age of 8 then lipgloss at the age of 8 but the serious stuff like eye liner nail polish and eyeshadow (lil kids call it grown up make-up which its not...) i started wearing that around 9 and i am totally fine 1- i am not involved in drugs or alcohol and no smoking either so i tihnk u'r mother should loosen up a bit......if she doesnt let u wear the nail polish and eye liner then its going to make u wanna do it more and more and then u'll crack and disobey u'r mom......which i dont think she would like!!!...so just talk to her and show her some of these answers on here...and just maybe she will consider it

I agree with your mom. You shouldn't wear black fingernail polish or eye liner. I finally allowed my fourteen year old to wear brown eye liner this year, she's a freshman.

i'm 2 years older than you and i know what your going through. just paint your nails at a friends house and wjen your mom asks about them just tell her you were doing crazy makeovers or something. i wouldn't go for the liner just yet because tha comes with responsibility and maturity. if she makes you take the polish off, then you know shes not ready for you to have it. but she might actually like it. who knows.

At 12, go for the black polish first. One thing at a time. I tell my kids they can paint their hair purple and wear goth as long as they stay away from drugs. Mom is probably adjusting to you getting older. One shock at a time.

Listen to your mother and do what you want when you turn 18 or are one your own. She does not want people to think you are a weirdo that is why.
