Im sorry that you are hurting so badly. Ive been in those situations before but time is the only solution to this. I will advice you to keep a journal, write to your journal while going through the loneliness, this will help you. Use freewriting meaning write whatever comes to mind without worrying about grammar, tenses, punctuations, etc.
Try and read a book also or watch a movie, this are form of escape from the reality.

I am so sorry you are homesick. I have never experienced it, but my mother who happens to be my best friend was homesick for years before she had me, so in a way I can relate to you. I think what you need to do is just keep thinking of the future when you'll see your girlfriend again, and it will give you something to look forward to. In the mean time, don't listen to any music that reminds you of her, and keep in touch with her frequently via telephone. Hearing her voice will help you.

As for missing Japan, watch movies, or look on the internet for pictures. The memories will help you.
Good luck:)

You don`t want to hear this, but be patient. You need to go to school and you need to graduate from high school. I recommend that you make a plan. You can`t return to Japan without an agenda. Graduate high school, and when you turn 18 in June, you can legally do whatever you want. Apply NOW to Japanese universities or look for jobs online if you don`t want to go to school. Making a plan will make you feel better because you can live in Japan permanantly and you won`t have to return to Canada. As for missing Aiko, there is nothing you can do. Talk to her everyday, write her letters and let her know you care. Sorry but you can`t go back ASAP. You have to be patient and wait for the right moment. June. You can`t ease the pain. Be busy. Work hard and save money. Keep yourself busy so you won`t have time to think about the pain. Work a lot at your job so you can save money.

Do what I did - MOVE! Although in your case, you want to move TO japan - which would be a mystery, except that you are living in canada which probably sucks about as much as japan! haha..

I returned to Phoenix about 2 weeks ago - it has been sunny and in the 70's every day for the past 2 weeks, except 1 day where it rained and was a little cool. I guess it's in the 40's in Yokohama right now and raining or grey everyday -blah!

2 weeks and counting and the only thing I miss about j-land is short skirts & high-heeled boots!

Oh wow, I remember that feeling, it literally hurts :(

OK, this is what healed me. The first time I studied abroad I made friends with the coolest Korean friends and my depression/homesickness absolutely dissappeared!

The second time, I made friends with German girls and just having friends made the whole difference in the world when you are lonely. Then you can start actually ENJOYING the other country you're in.

Cry about it, it helps!

WHAT??!!??

Surely you've only JUST got back to Canada!!!!!??? (Sorry if I remembered your current country of residence wrongly..!!)

All these nice people who are sympathising with you might not have bothered if they'd known that you just DID go back to Japan for a visit..!!

Anyway, I'm sorry that you've had to leave again so soon ... I think you should try the webcam if possible, and plot and plan your education so that you'll be able to get a visa easily and move here more-or-less permanently in the future!

Oh yeah, and invite her to visit YOU!

If you really want to see her, take a plane to Japan. I would do that if I were you.

maybe you and her could get 'skype'...it's software that lets you talk on line and see each other (if you have webcams) as well...it's much cheaper the phone calls and is great for international calling...or so I hear...you would both need the software...the software is free to download.
