Which emotion would you choose, not including love or grief?

I would suggest Gratitude, appreciation, admiration, sincerity, faithfulness, liberty, freedom, even anger if you wish to go that way.
Shame, pride, jealousy, greediness, patience, surprise, laughter,boldness, motivation, eagerness, joy, etc...

Pride, esteem, alarm, fear, hopelessness, optimism, pessimism, piety, awe. Well you should get the idea.
