Why are minorities paying tax toward the DNR when they don't hunt? Only Whites enjoy hunting?

Many people no matter the nationality do not hunt? I'd bet you that you'd find lots of the American Indian hunting, and they're the nationality that really knows their stuff.

Many people are afraid to hunt because of bird flu, tuberculosis in the deer...hey..who wants unknown meat from out there?? Not me, that's for sure.

And the DNR controls lots of things that deal with parks, recs. and so on. We are in MI paying an increased tax to support the DNR so they can also protect the land and use the money that has been directed to their department...just for their uses. That was put into law here just this last vote. People said yes, so it's yes.

Ocat you are a moron, I know several blacks that hunt, several latinos also. Besides the DNR does a lot more than just control guns. They also make sure that the wildlife does not get over hunted. I suppose no one but whites look at wild life?

The Department of Natural Resources do more than monitor hunting and fishing; that is why.

DNR has to do with the land monitoring, with parks and recs, and more.

THAT IS WHY.

As for it being racist - you can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that only whites hunt. Until you can povide undeniable proof (not stereotypical thought), it will continue to be a racist question.

go to louisiana, mississippi and the deep south and you would be surprise..... there are a lot of blacks, hispanics, asian and vietnamese immigrants who are hunters, fishermen, shrimp trawlers and harvests crabs and crawfish.

many do it for a living and others to sustain their livelihood. they are the ones who do not discard any part and use ever part of the prey. also, they eat fish that many whites throw away or use as bait.

right now, i know of several folks who originally came from mexico who hunt here in colorado...they hunt for game. they are not trophy hunters.....like a lot of folks i know who hunt and discard the meat and cut off the head with antlers to mount on their walls.... which i am totally against.

if you hunt, do it for food as well as for trophy....the rest of the mammal predatoric world hunt for food and it is only the human species who hunt for trills and for trophies to make them feel "macho" and it is the rich and well-to-do who do this not only here but in africa, india and other countries.
