The first question: If it is in absolute darkness, well then the answer is no because there is no light reflecting of it...

Questions 1 and 2: well sure they have those, because the object has a surface, and something in the air that can be smelt

But.... it's texture and smell aren't the way we imagine them to be as humans. because that would require senses, and a nervous system.

without the someone to sense them, it's unimaginable what they are like

In an old universe (Newtonian era) the answer would be yes, since the colour, texture, smell, taste and sound that an object makes will always be constant (even if the object is designed to vary).

However...

In a new universe (Einstein and after) the answer would be no, since all things in the universe would be relative to everything else. So what is blue to you may not blue to me, what is cold to you may not be cold to me, ...etc.

However...

In a quantum universe the answer would be no as well but for a different reason. In a quantum universe the result will change if you try to measure it. The texture will change it you try to touch it, the colour will change if you try to view it, ...ect.

Hope this helps.

The "color" of a mass depends entirely on the amount of light waves it reflects. That being said, the "color" of an object does not change if there is no light to reflect off of it. It simply becomes invisible.

The same can be applied to texture without touch and scent without smell: they would also be "invisible."

One might also consider the figurative implications:

An "invisible" person also has color/texture/scent (emotion, personality, insight, empathy, creativity), but it cannot be seen because no light has shown on him/her.

Color is a result of light passing through an object. No light no color. Texture is always there, touching an object only gives you awareness. Does a fart linger in an elevator after you exit? Ya!

Dear Zoinker,
First question, yes - black
Second question, Can't tell - If I can't see it or touch it, but if I had seen it previously or touched the texture then I wouldn't need to touch or look would I
Third question, no - It doesn't have a nose so it can't smell

I'm not sure but i have always wondered is the blue that i see the same blue that you see? do we all see a different color but as children we are taught that the color we see is blue. same goes for all the other colors - how do we know that we are all seeing the same thing not just what we individually recognize them by what the teacher tells us the color is.
