i miss hockey on espn do u think it will ever come back again??!!

I find it interesting that TSN is the exact opposite of ESPN even though they are owned by the same company. Too bad, because ESPN in HDTV on DirecTV looks spectacular.
I do miss Gary Thorne and Bill Clement calling the games.

Both yes and no. I miss hockey on ESPN because more people have ESPN than Vs and it was able to get slightly more exposure. I also miss the fact when ESPN carried hockey they had NHL tonight I was able to see extensive coverage from around the league and hear in depth discussion on a nightly basis and ESPN spent more than 35 seconds covering the NHL SportsCenter.
However like many have said ESPN did a horrible job of marketing the sport and simply tossed it out first chance they were given rather than try and improve the ratings.

Yea i miss hockey because I have watched hockey since I was 3 and played hockey when I could hold the stick and shoot. ESPN is not really into hockey as much though because it isn't watched as much by people. People watch baseball or football more than anything else now. Now the only way to watch hockey is on a remote channel that randomly has it or pay for it with DirectTV or something like that. So, I don't think hockey will return any time soon as a regularly scheduled program on ESPN.

No, ESPN did NOTHING to promote the NHL. At least during the playoffs, OLN ran hockey programming from 6pm on for the rest of the evening. ESPN didnt do squat for the NHL

No. ESPN dumped the NHL. I do not watch ANYTHING on ESPN. VS is doing a decent job. It should improve next year. ESPN sucks. World wide leader in sports my a s s.

very a lot. i'm getting center Ice so no enormous deal for me seeing adequate hockey yet i said that as against is about ninety% both Caps, Pens or Hawks video games. What supplies? There are some large communities and experience united statesout there somewhat form might want to be helpful.

ESPN blew it BIG TIME. All they want is ratings and dollars so they dump a great sport and pick up a bunch of bozo BLUFF artists who has no skill whatsoever playing a stupid card game.

I, for one, don't miss it. I rarely watch games that my home team's not playing in, and I absolutely hated the ESPN announcers because all they would do was chat with each other and make rude comments about whichever team was losing. I much prefer my home broadcast team of Jeanneret and Lorentz, thank you!
