What is it called when someone hears voices and sees people no one else can see...existing only in the mind?

auditory and visual hallucinations are typically considered symptoms of schizophrenia and *some* more serious cases of bipolar disorder.

auditory hallucinations are somewhat common, but visual hallucinations are relatively rare

Some forms of schizophrenia, some forms of dementia, some forms of advanced mania. Depends on a few other factors but most likely schizophrenia.

its just a projection of a catharthic episode from the past manifesting hallucinations.....in other words its probably nothing...go eat a banana
