I was recently put on Donnatol which has Phenobarbitol in it for my stomach.

Ever since I was put on it, my Ortho Novum 1/35 which I take to control my periods, doesn't seem to be working. Without birth control I have 3 periods a month.

Is there any form of Hormonal Birth Control that isn't effected by Phenobarbitol?

Barbituates inhibit the absorbtion of the hormones in contraceptive pills, so you either need to have higher dose pills or use a non-hormonal form of contraception. Tell your doctor that it is having this effect and hopefully they can sort you out. Hopefully a higher dose will do it. I have to take relatively high doses because my body naturally doesn't absorb them too well.
