Should a democracy have socialized medicine, and is a balanced budget healthy for health care. The young can do without for a while, but then what do you do to control the cost medicine and services.

The purpose of politics is to govern the country by creating guidelines (laws) that aid society in maintaining a civilized progressive structure.

When a country finds that 1/6 of its population is without healthcare and the cost of that healthcare has become so unaffordable that those uninsured will simply have to lay down and die if they become chronically ill, that is when it is the duty of 'politics' to step in and make a correction.

in the race to be #1 in health care we have bankrupt the system.we all demand the newest technology to detect illness which i see as the biggest problem facing health care today.and you can throw in medicine into the mix.until our so-called government steps in to regulate the industry it will continue to spiral downwards.this is what happens,sorry to say with a capitalist society,which is in every facet of our lives,good or bad.

when the gov't becomes too invloved in our everyday life
which started about the 1940's....
