Well, at least the hetero couples will be suffering, too.
I think they need to propose arranged marriages; that'd be the next logical step.

I am not surprised.
Here in Kansas, there was one of those amendments a couple years ago. I heard many people say that they would vote for it, but none had read it, they thought it just forbids gay marriage.
It passed with about 70% of the vote.
The amendment also ended common law marriages.
No doubt the neo-con men will find some "wholesome" label for this one too, and people will vote for it having no idea what they are doing.
Keep in mind that Leviticus said that re-marriage after divorce is an abomination (for Levites) and Jesus said that re-marriage after divorce is adultry. Expect that to be a target next.

Its just law trying to butt in to peoples lives again. I understand about the kids but what is the point of keeping people who do not want to be together, together? I feel we have too many laws keeping freedom from people and too few to protect laws for all of us.
This reads like you can marry as long as it is straight and forever, even if you partner cheats or hits you..

People should just mind their own bussiness, somebody wants to get married to the same gender, let it be, sombody wants to divorce somebody, so be it. People who spend time snooping into other people's bussiness just have to much time on their hands. Stupid compaigns.
