Lumpy means "blah" or sad.

Try breastfeeding! It's not too late esp. since your daughter is showing an interest. Baby doesn't suck on the nipple- that will hurt and not work! bring her close to your breast so the nipple is right in front of her mouth, Touch her cheek with your finger and she should open her mouth wide at that point (it's a newborn reflex). When her mouth opens wide bring her straight to the breast with the nipple centered in the middle of her mouth so that her lips aren't touching the poky part. Switch breasts after a few minutes. To extract milk manually, don't squeeze the tip of the nipple. That won't work. you kinda want to squeeze and pull down towards the nipple in a single motion. Start about four finger widths above the nipple. Good luck and try it out. You're not going to hurt the baby and if it hurts you just remember that the nipple really needs to be in the back of her mouth toward her throat so it has a strait shot down. RE PERCOCET- It's labeled middle of the road for lactation. The risk of delaying nursing may outweigh the risk of the percocet. If you do wait, be sure to pump to keep up supply and try to use those bottles with a flat surface and tiny nipples- baby learns to latch as with the breast.

I have felt that way all day and then everytime I came here it got worse because the people earlier were...well I won't go into it..I just hope it is better now.
