Every time Booth (David B's character) mentions marriage OR religion, Tempe (Emily D.) uses scientific, long words to say she thinks it's stupid.
I think a Forensic Anthropologist should have more respect for the archaeologists who've worked hard & found ancient scrolls & objects which have inspired them to believe in the Bible... also, such a "smart" woman should appreciate the sanctity of marriage! It's a piece of paper that is a promise to not cheat on each other. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be married instead of living alone or being slutty.

It's her defense mechanism. This allows her to keep people at a distance, to not let them in too close. Remember she lost her family at a fairly young age and people in the long run deal with that kind of traumatic event differently.

How could any intelligent person get so worked up over a fictional character on a TV show making a comment about marriage? Give me a fricken break! Let alone....how on earth is that showing disrespect for archeologists?! I wonder how much research you did to determine that you are capable of deciding that the archeologists are insulted. Or that they find sooooo much to make them believe in creation and the bible when they find equally as much to arguably apply to the theory of evolution. And you yourself refer to marriage as "a piece of paper". Good grief!! Your own words could be MUCH more degrading to the concept of marriage. A lesson to learn before you put your little fingers to the keyboard might be.... you shouldn't throw stones when you live in a glass house. Be careful when you refer to that character as a "Smart Woman". I firmly believe that it takes one to know one... and the evidence before us leaves you looking unqualified for that position.
