I have a few little cacti seedlings in a pot. They are about 6 months old and have a few problems. 1. They haven't grown much in the last 4 months. 2. Some of them are turning from green to white. The white is the cactus itself, not something on the cactus. and 3. Some of the plants are turning brown in places.

What can I do to help these little plants? I've never grown cacti before. Thanks

yes watering can be a problem but not sure this applies to you but when I took an older cactus plant from the house and placed it out doors the side that was facing most of the sun all day it turned white and brown in the part facing the sun, it did not harm the cactus, just made it look unusual. When I brought it back in the house it is now going back to it's natural color but very slowly. Hoped this helped ....Good Luck

I don't know exactly what it could be but you might be watering them too much.Cacti need very little water.

I have some in a pot(for about 3 months) and I water them about ones every 2 weeks with just a little bit of water.

Don't worry about there speed, they are slow growing.
