I'm not sure if this is true for your liner but I have a smudge liner and it has a piece on the end like an eraser that I use to smudge. One tip I can give you is a little goes a long way. I put a small amount on the inner part of my eye and use the back end to move the liner across my eye to make a smudge affect. If there is not enough for your taste add more to the other end of the eye and use the back end to manipulate the liner to your taste. If you want that smoky look you will need eye shadow too. As for mascara I think it works best to tilt your face toward the mirror like you want to slam your face into it and this will move your lashes away from your face so you can apply to the lower lashes.

For the eyeliner, take your time and dot the eyeliner along your lashlines. Then use the sponge to softly smudge the dots into one smooth line. For mascara on the bottom lashes, make sure that you have a mascara that is waterproof. (I like Revlon's Colorstay Lash Tint.) Blot excess mascara on a tissue and use the tip of the brush to define your lashes. Clean up any mistakes with a slightly damp Q-Tip.

eyeliner. don't put it under your eyes or in the corners. it'll be easy to smudge and make you look mutated. when you put the eyeliner on, don't put it on the fleshy pink skin closest to he eye, it will lead to pink eye. when aplying, first make sure the tip is sharp but not too sharp if you use a pencil. if its liquid, wipe the brush on a towel or it's tube to get rid of extra color liquid. go infront of a mirror, not hand held. using your non-dominate hand, pull your eyelashes down so that your eyelid is shut more then if you just closed your eye. take the liner with your dominate hand, while holding your eye closed, and put the tip as close as you can to your eyelashes, you can even over lap with your eyelashes in order to make the line thiner. you want the line as thin as you can manage. don't press heavily or you can damage your eye and end up with uneven lines.
mascara. use a hand held mirror and tilt it above you at an angle so that you have to look up to see your face. make sure you can see the underside of your eye so that you can uply the mascara. very lightly, lay the brush on your lashes. the brush should be parrellel to your face so that its lined up at the roots of your lashes. wiggly the brush a little and move the brush strait out away from you, gliding it along your lashes.
for eyemakup, i recomend using ANDREA EYE Q'S eye makeup remover pads. liquids and washes are hard to use and can smear. plus, if you slip and get a little in your eye, it doesn't hurt any where as much as other removers. always use pads.

heyy.. when using the eyliner on the bottom lid, pull down ur lower eylid and draw a line on the inner rim so that it'll give you a clean line and will allow the liner to stay on the whole day.. that way it wouldnt be too thick.. and dont draw it the the end(meaning towards ur nose) but rather stop where ur eyelashes graw(meaning abt 3/4 of ur eyes). for mascara dont over do it. jus put on a coat.. but if u want to coat it again always ALWAYS let it dry before applying another coat.. you can go to tyra bank's show website where she shows a video of how to put on make up and tips.. hope this helps

well its easy really just pull the bottom of your eye down and run over the bottom of the eye lid be careful not to poke yourself in the eye it hurts i have done it many of times! if you want the smudge look just put it on the top eye lid close to your lash line get a cotton bud and smudge it in! and the mascara just brush it on the bottom eye lashes lightly and if you get it everywhere just let it dry then brush it away! hope that helps good luck!

hey!
Well, you should start of by grabbing the eyeliner somewhat like you would with a normal pencil! (firm)
then if you apply it to the outer corners of your eyes, right on the lash line!
thats all i do and its easy peasy and looks great, i often get compliments on it!!!
