I've had a lot of success with Oxyclean- it seems to entirely remove the stain within a few seconds.

there is a product called TKO.. I know you can get it in Canada not sure where you live. Anyway it is a great product that will take out any stain blood grass dog pee/poo whatever. it is a orange concentrate so make sure you follow the directions. the longer you leave it on the better it works... make sure you test the area for colour runs before doing a large area. It is not harmful to animals/children etc if used as directed. I know in Alberta you can buy it at London Drug mart, Nutters and some dog kennels.

Orange cleaner is the best product to use on any surface. It will take the stain right out and it smells like oranges (hence the name).

The best way is to use vinegar and HOT water. This was told to me by a professional carpet cleaner. It smells horrible itself, but it really does work.
