You sound like you could be a pear shape, where you are larger on the bottom than above the waist, because I am built the same way.
I am 5'5'' and when I shop for jeans I do not look or try on low rise jeans. Imagine a man's beer belly drooping over his pants waistband. Its just my opinion, but I find a traditional style rise is more flattering when you have a tummy.
About your thighs, which I am similar to you also in that department. There are jeans that say 'slimming' and that means they have spandex in them and will cling to your every curve and you may not want that part being that noticeable. Also about spandex in jeans, I personally found that it makes the pants more course feeling and itchy...very uncomfortable.
Flare jeans do not look good on petite women and I thought they made me look sloppy and dumpy.
The best slimming jeans is an optical illusion to the eye is to go as dark as possible. Stay away from stonewashed and jeans with busy or large decorations on the legs and rear pockets. Tapered legs are a NO NO too because they are cut smaller around the calf and make the upper leg look larger. I believe the most recommended style I'd give is either bootcut or classic fit.
I know it may sound boring but if you need something that is flattering to your body type it is a good thing to just take a look in a section of the clothing aisle that you may not normally go to, like if you are only shopping in the junior section then it may be time to see what is across the way in the women's.
Good Luck and don't get discouraged.

No boot cut if your under 5'5'' and little pockets on the butt to make your butt look smaller. Get women's not juniors. Because women's pants have a higher waist line, just get low cut in women's. Juniors usually go only to mid-butt crack and that is hard with a little bit of chubb around the waist. And for the thick thighs, solid colors. Faded jeans tend to draw attention to the thigh area and that can be bad if they are chubby. And no cargo pockets under 5'5'' as well.I will also add if yo do find a good pair (which is SOO hard) if they fit everywhere but are just a little long or big in the waist go get them altered it's totally worth the 10-15 dollars.

Sounds like you're probably just fine...but girls body shapes are usually categorized either pear(more wt on hips/waist/butt) or apple (more wt in mid section). I would say if you feel uncomfortable with your thigh size--stay away from the stretch jeans, these tend to be tighter through the thighs and hips

I weigh 127, at 5"3, so we are about the same!
I am a size 6, or 8 in jeans, and 7's look really good on me, and fit me perfect.

i would say that you have a pear shape. the best kind of jeans for your shape is straight leg. any kind jeen would be good for your body but try to avoid skinny jeans because they can make your thighs look bigger. hopefully this helped.

The best jeans aren't the new skinny ones; they'll make your butt, hips, and thighs look bigger. If you like the skinny jean look, opt for just straight cut jeans instead. You'll get the look without making anything look bigger.

I think your body type sounds about perfect. I'm not to fond of the super skinny type. Where jeans that are most comfortable but the tighter the better (for guys)

Gap has a line of pants and jeans called curvy and Banana Republic's Lauren line is good also. Both are affordable too.

First off, sounds like youre pretty hot. Secondly I would suggest a dark wash blue jean. Make sure they fit you properly, perhaps even a boot cut would look nice on you.
