Day break has been cancelled. It's not coming back on.

According to the webmaster of the site "Day Break had everything going for it: a strong plot, intriguing mystery (both whodunit and why is the day repeating), excellent cast and characters, and fine writing. Action, romance, and twists galore. One of the biggest things it had going for it was the fact that we knew we would have the answer by Jan 31st.

ABC drove the ratings down with their business model. Viewers will continue to leave quality series as long as there's a better than even chance the series won't finish.

That's a long rant and thanks for sitting through it. Day Break is gone and it doesn't look like it will be shown online. Everything goes to DVD these days, so maybe we'll find out the answers. Someday. "

Also: ABC cancelled Day Break because numbers kept slipping. It started out with a decent showing, with nearly eleven million people watching the two-hour pilot episode, but lost half its audience by the third episode.

Only 4.5 million viewers tuned in last week. That sounds like a lot of people to me, but ninety-eight shows last week had more viewers.

Reruns of According to Jim and George Lopez will air in Day Break's spot.

Several news outlets have reported that ABC.com will definitely finish the season by showing a new episode of Day Break each Wednesday. If that's correct (and we'll know in two days), then I'll keep this blog active, so stay tuned.
