I own a epiphone casino and i love it. it gets a great vintage tone (also great indie tone at least to me) ands sounds so sweet on my deville 410. a epiphone dot is a decent guitar but if you want a hollow body go with the casino for sure. telecasters are also nice you would be able to get a nice indie tone out of that. the Les Paul is also a very nice guitar lots of different sounds you can get out of it (just because its not a Gibson does not mean it isn't superber quality epiphone makes great guitars). but honestly it is really up to you. I'm guessing you have played them all and gotten a feel for the guitars i would base your decision on what feels best for you but if i had to narrow your list down go with either a Casino or a Les Paul for sure both of those will be able to get the tone your looking for (mainly the Les Paul if your wanting to play some metal) but the Casino is just amazing as well good luck on your decision.

Everyone and their dog has an Epiphone Les Paul. It's a great guitar but it's over done. If you want to be unique, go with the Tele. It's starting to emerge more in the rock word. Might I suggest something with a humbucker on it. I think you'll like the Fender Squire Obey Telecaster.

you have come to right place, lets begin:
considering your taste of music you need somthing with a humbucker and couple of single coils, hopefully you know what humbuckers are and what single coils are but anyways humbucker is the fat looking pickup the one that looks like two pickups put together, humbuckers produce a very punchy fat heavy sound good for garage, metal hard rock all that good stuff it proves that you have balls single coil pickups are bright they are the skiny looking once type "single coil pickup" on yahoo it will show you a pic they are good for jazzy bluey music along with rock with a lot of emotions in it now Gibson Les Paul is an awsome awsome awsome guitar BUT you are looking at about 2 grand for a good one and other thing is if its not wired with push pull pots you are only getting 2 humbuckers and no single coils and oh yeah that thing weighs as much as ur grandma so lets talk about Fender Stratocaster there are models with 3 single coils or 3 skiny looking pickups with this guitar you can play rock and in 2nd and 4th position you have humbucking kind of sounds BUT it just isnt true humbucker sound so what you need as your first guitar is a varity of guitars put into one guitar and way to achive this is by getting a Fender Fat Strat which is a strat style body with a humbucker in bridge position and single coil in middle and neck position not only will this allow you to play a variety of differnt musics BUT you will have a great first guitar now those things can run about 500 to 600 bucks if you get an american model then even more so if you have financial issues try getting a Squier Fat Strat which is the same set up as i explained the only differnce is its a Squier and the quality is a little less but that shouldnt be your worries as this is your first guitar http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Squier-Affinity-Fat-Strat-Pak?sku=512070 this package on musician's friend is just over 250 bucks and comes with an amp and lot more that would be your best bet. so basicaly to recap what i just said is there are lots of great guitars out there but make sure you get something that is right for YOU and its important to buy the right guitar ur first time because this will inspire you to continue. have fun rock on.

If you want to play metal, the dot and casino probably aren't for you..
I've got a Fender Telecaster, and it's never let me down, a real nice guitar...
But you'd probably want a les paul, it'll give you more of the sound that you want, but if it's Epiphone, make sure it's at least a Studio or above, I've tried the lp-100 and specials, but they're not really worth it...it all depends on your price range

If you have it narrowed down to those four, you should spend some time at a music store and play each of them.....see which one feels and plays better, in your opinion.........personally, that would have a lot to do with my decision
By sound alone, the Les Paul would probably be the best all around choice for your different music tastes.

Fender Telecaster the most versatile guitar I've ever played. You can get a standard fender telecaster modify it with noiseless vintage pickups for less than $500 Buck's. Also don't forget that the type of Pre-amp and/or Amp you have makes a big difference on how you sound when playing your guitar of choice.

Do you like single coil or double coil sound? strat is single coil les paul is double (humbucker). they each have their own sound which is unique. single is brighter and punchier, double is richer and fuller. Personally, i have both but mostly use the les paul. also if you have the cash buy a gibson les paul or an american made strat. forget the telecaster or casino.
