as we all know, some companies (most) do not roll over their sick and/or personal days. therefore, if you have like let's say 4 or 5 sick days, and you only take 2 or 3...and you have some left, they will not be awarded to you if you do not take them within a certain period. what is the best way to use these? could i make believe i'm sick and call out?

just use them. they're "sick/personal" days, meaning you don't have to be sick...you can take a sick day just for the hell of it. Take a little vacation with your extra sick days, most employers don't care.

Call in sick as soon as the office opens .... hopefully before the boss arrives. Just say I won't be in today or tomorrow I have a stomach virus. Take two days at once.
You could also if your a scaredy cat go to work and arrange before hand to have a family member call and say you need to come home it's a emergency... Just ask the boss to pay you one of those sick/personal days for it !

Speak to your employer and schedule a slow time to take them off. Most will work with you. It's not good to lie about such a thing because you go back and all of a sudden you had a spontaneous miracle cure and it will be noticed.
If you are too chicken to do that have Mommy call in for you.
Although, I have to admit, once I did call in because I scored tickets to baseball opening day and blamed it on dysentery, but I felt crappy lying about it. LOL

You threw out your back. You will try to get to the doctor, but you not what he will say: take some naprosyn and put some heat on it.
And since the naprosyn makes you sleepy, it's best to stay home for a couple of days

make believe ur sick is ok, but do it for too many days and becareful they may ask for a drs note.
