All I hear is about Global warming, did we not expect those to ever melt. They were formed form freezing tempetures, any warmng of the world, would of corse melt them. It's not only green house gases, it's the space shuttles bustiing out throught the ozone layer that protects us from the sun. The GOV has to blame it somewhere. They were(icebergs) were formed over time, therefore in time they should surely melt. It is not only us, who are killing the planet earth. Of all the planets out there, do you not think they once had life. MARS ...closest we can guess had life. It being pulled closer to the sun, the expansion of the Sun itself, can cause a planet to be so hot, that all life will disapear. If they really want to do something. stop all the invading and plan a way, that life will remain when the Suns temp...are so hot that we must find other way....but we continue to blow up other little countries and use that money resourse to findle away our only way to remain on this planet .

We could be the only country preparring from the future, but the GOV is planning for only thier families future...it's not the people, it the GOV.....

Here is a thought that may scare you.
EVERY time a country tests a NUKE the ozone layer gets smaller, more UV through the atmosphere and hunks of ice start to melt.
Now think about this. Water and ice weigh about 7 pounds a gallon and offer MASS and balance to the earth.
We have a bunch of weight at the poles that is slipping away and we are loosing balance.
Look at a gyroscope and how it spins, perfectly with BALANCE. You can't take weight off and maintain the functionality,so add some weight to one end and see what happens.
The earth is spinning at 1070 miles per hour. SLAM on your brakes at 80 mph and see what happens.
A LOT of BIG BOMBS just do not do the damage that one NUKE test does, do the math.
You have all of these little third world countries developing nuke capability to gain respect that they have NOT earned and it harms US ALL. Their sword waving is just more important than the ENVIRONMENT that we ALL SHARE.
The proof is left to the student! Please study the gyroscope and the answer will be clear.

Long Island , NY was formed by melting glaciers. So yes it has occurred to us if it has happened before it will at some point in time happen again. We are just as likely to head into a deep freeze as go the other way. It is a normal part of living on an ever changing planet changes occur gradually over 10s of thousands of years along with erosion , earthquakes, tectonic plate shifts, volcanoes. Do not go into full survival mode just yet.

So the glaciers are melting, the seas are supposed to rise 30 feet, I take it then you are opposed to rebuilding New Orleans as I am? It is already 14 feet below sea level and another 30 feet would make it 44 feet under sea level. A waste of money!
