it's a metaphorical rape

they overpower her, and in that way, they rape her

it's kind of like "nature vs. man," they want to control nature, they want to control woman, they want to control that which they have no control over

instead of gaining control, they defeat her by force -- which, in the end, isn't satisfying at all

I admit it's been a long time since I read the book (and saw two movies based on it), but I don't remember that happening, or even being implied by the author. All I remember is them cutting the pig's head off, and impaling it on a sharp stick. I hope this helps.

The Pigs head was the true lord of the flies, about the sex part, never read anything about it or that it was even implied.

No. The hunt was to show the degeneracy of mob spirit which can so easily overcome a group. They just stick her up and worship her.

Not true at all. The book was assigned to my class recently, we just finished discussing it. I read a sum total of one chapter. But yeah, they definitely didn't rape it.

Um... I have absolutely no memory of that ever happening. They were hunting her to survive, not to perform bestiality.

No, they eventually do turn to savagery by killing "Piggy" (a character in the book.) Are you sure you're not thinking of "Deliverance"?

no they do not do that to her, it is a ceremony of catching her and having something to eat, which they means that they are surviving on their own because everyone else has always provided for them.
