Having a healthy dose of self-esteem is not the same as being arrogant. I have healthy self-esteem (most of the time) and I do not feel it is because I am special, but that everyone should feel this way. Do you see the difference? It comes from within which comes from above (God). If someone does happen to question if I feel good about myself, I say yes, and I just follow through with the above- that they should as well. No matter what they've done or have been through. We all make mistakes. If they have an ongoing problem with this low self-esteem and worse, hating themselves, they should address it. Love God who put you here and love yourself. There is no reason to hate yourself- none. I am sure you have touched people's lives for the better, sometimes you know and sometimes you did it without even knowing it. You are here for a reason; perhaps you do why yet but never doubt you have and will help others. So start trying to change that attitude and look for help to stop hating yourself. Hope this helps.

I have not always liked myself but with Jesus's help I became confident. Sometimes other people will call you stuck up, cocky, and arrogant but that's sort of what confidence is. With confidence comes intmidation remeber that and you'll be happier than ever before.God bless you

If you know how to hate yourself, you know how to love yourself.Being arrogant is unwarranted pride,overbearing,haughty,self-importance,did you feel that way when you are in love with someone? To love oneself >>respect, care, dignity, aim to excel in morals or to better your life. That's to love oneself, and you will be in a happy state.

You are not perfectly good or perfectly bad. You are like the rest of us, we have strength and weaknesses. When your self esteem is low you tend to accentuate your negatives and down play your positives. A person who is full of himself accentuates his positives and down play his negatives. Look for a balance. improve your weaknesses and be humble about your strengths. This will help you from going to either extreme.

You view yourself the same way you would view that special someone you adore. Why can't you be as special as that special someone? Why not? Why can't we acknowledge our own specialness and uniqueness and see the good parts of ourselves as we see when we are in love or simply love? Why not?

TO LOVE YOURSELF- IS LIKING WHO YOU ARE AS A PERSON INSIDE AND OUT. YOU DON'T NEED TO PUT 'EGO' ADDED TO IT. IT'S LIKE THE OLD SAYING, COMES AROUND GOES AROUND. IF YOU LIVE IN IT, THEN IT'LL FIND IT'S WAY TO YOU. YOU MUST BE HAPPY WITH WHAT WAS GIVEN TO YOU IN ANY ASPECT LOOKS, ATTITUDE ARE SOME EXAMPLES. JUST THINK OF IT 'AS I COULD OF BEEN '____' INSTEAD OF '_____'. "CONTENTMENT" WITH ONES SELF WILL MAKE YOU RICHER THAN ANY $$ CAN BUY.
