Get some McGuire's leather cleaner & conditioner from the automotive department in Walmart.

It will clean it.

Next time be sure to dry anything very thouroughly before you put it away.

This does not sound like mold. You should let a leather technician look at it as it may need recolouring depending on what has caused the black spots.

If it was mold the spots would clean off even if they then returned. If it does prove to be mold you need a special mold killer for leather which will kille the spores

Leather is a natural material. I developed black spots that are commonly reffered to as mold. Air gets trapped within the bag, ultimately creating moisture. That's why vacuum bags are so big right now. It takes all the air out, so mold does not have a chance to develop. Take your leather bag to a dry cleaner, they MAY be able to get it out. Mold on leather is difficult, don't be upset if they can't do it!
