You either need to have the valves reworked or you have a blown head gasket. Run a compression test (or have a mechanic do it) and that will tell you for sure.
Same thing just happened to me with my 68 Camaro and it turned out to be the head gasket.

If after the wire swap you still have a miss I would check the injectors.
Using a volt meter, you would want to see a common OHM reading across all the injectors. The specific OHM reading is different for all types of injectors. Some are 2 to 5 ohms, others are 7 to 10.
If you have the same, within an OHM or 2 reading across all but one, the one that's out of wack is your faulty injector.
You might also try a power flush of the injectors.
The idea of running a compression check is a good one, but I would do that last. Modern engines seldom have compression/valve issues.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

the common thing on Z28 is the cylinder valves are worn out. go to part store and purchase a engine compression tester(cost 60.00). remove all spark plugs.remove the coil cable wire from the distributor cap and touch the cable end to ground. install the compression tool to the first cylinder.crank the engine over 3 times and write down the compression reading.do this to all the cylinders. compares the reading.the lowest reading(below 80 PSI.) is the one that cost the miss fire .once you find out the bad cylinder, you need to do a valves job. the repair cost about 900.00 if you let someone do it. it takes 2 days to do it.

the first thing i would do is change the plugs. plug wires, dis, cap, and rotor button. if that doesn't solve it put a timing light on it, that will tell you wither or not it has jumped time. if ti has that will cost you a couple hundred to fix.

it could be the timing belt/chain also. also it could be in the transmission, if you have an overdrive button, try driving with it off, if you don't have a button then put the gear selector on the "D" without the circle around it.
