There has been numerous amount of rumors going around that USC head coach Pete Carroll has been interviewing with the Miami Dolphins and the Oakland Raiders for the Head Coaching spot. I personally think he's going to stay, and he has to be a fool to leave one of the best College Football team in the Country for the Dolphins or the Raiders. What do you think.

when pete carroll was in the nfl he sucked so badly. i doubt 8 years in USC taught him more about how to run salary caps better or how to work the free agency pool better. i think since it is his contract year for USC he's using that as a ploy to try to get more money when he extends his contract.

Pete Carroll is not leaving USC. He did alright in the NFL. The problem is he is a College coach. The NFL is not a raw raw were a family vibe like College. Take a look at his previous coaching records As a head coach first of the Jets in 1996 they lost the last 6 games going 6-10. He was fired after that season. When he went to the New England Patriots in 1997. His 1997 Patriots team won the AFC East division title and went 10-6, but his subsequent two teams did not fare as well—losing in the wild card playoff round in 1998 and going 9-7, and missing the playoffs after a late-season slide in 1999 ( 8-8)—and he was fired after the 1999 season. His combined NFL record as head coach was 33-31. Not exactly great. It would be a mistake for him to leave. He is doing a awesome job at USC. They are 65-12 since 2001. They are already likely a favorite to be number #1 next season. He has the perfect job. Arizona is a tough place to go. Oakland... Ughhhh The NFL Black Hole. Miami is just not right for him. I would look for a Cam Cameron from the Chargers to go there when the Chargers season is over.

Carroll is not going to leave SC... Its almost a pro program and in the second largest media market in the country. Why would you trade the ability to recruit whoever you want every year and be good every year for the chance to coach in the NFL? It wouldn't make any sense. You won't see Carroll in the NFL again... Ever.

He's gonna stay....after watching all of those college coaches move to the Dolphins surely he'll have some common sense and stay put. He has found his place at USC and has won two titles there in 03 and 04. Surely he'll stay put. With NY and New England combined he has a 33-31 record...at USC he has a 65-12 record. He's a great college coach and has had several good teams.

I think he'd be foolish to do so. He's already proven he is not a pro coach (Jets, Patriots). Not a knock on him, its just that some coaches are better suited for college (Steve Spurrier). Some can crossover, but not many. He has a great program and will always be a contender at USC. Why give it up?

Like someone else said Arizona would be a huge mistake. That is a coaching graveyard!

8 million a year...plus signing bonus and complete control of football decision. Could be tempting...I'm hoping someone will offer Tressel and Stoops a job too.
