Ted Ginn comes from a great football family. His family respects the game to much to perform the act that your are thinking about.

Ginn would've changed the complexion of the game considerably. OSU's defense did not so much play badly--the opening drive excepted--as much as they were simply on the field too much and in difficult territory to defend. Florida's defensive scheme was pretty brilliant and obviously very well executed, but it's hard to imagine it working the same way if Ginn had been in there; simply put, Ginn would've kept the Florida D, specifically the linebackers and DBs, honest. Florida basically sent everybody they could after the line of scrimage; if Ginn were in there, they would be taking a tremendous risk if they left him open or even single covered. If they went ahead did that, a couple of sacks probably would have been at least short gains, and one or two of them might have been broken wide open. OSU would've had a much easier time getting into sync on offense, and the Florida offense would simply not have had as much time to score as they did the way things played out. Now, I don't know if that would've been enough for Ohio State to completely turn the tables, I in fact doubt it, but it's hard to imagine that the final margin wouldn't have at least been respectable. The layoff certainly didn't help the Buckeyes, but they should've been better prepared regardless.

Florida. Ted Ginn wouldn't have an impact more than special teams and even on that kickoff it wasn't a true return. I've never seen more jersey getting pulled and no yellow in sight. Ted Ginn is a decent receiver and would be just another one in the SEC just as Troy Smith wouldn't even be considered for the heisman if he were in the SEC. The layoff was supposed to not hurt Ohio State according to, well, everyone so I don't see where you are coming from there. The Gators D-line didn't need a layoff to hit Troy Smith in the mouth on each snap. The Gators are just the better team. OSU fans need to realize it and get on with their lives.

FLORIDA 42
OH ST 21
FL's D DOMINATED the game...it doesnt matter who is running the routes when the QB is being rushed/sacked every play and cant get the ball off, no one can make catches/plays...not to mention FLs coverage, OH ST recievers were hardly getting open. FL would have still easily won...Ginn may have provided one more TD
*** There was an OBVIOUS hold on the opening kick off, so it shouldnt have counted any way***
GO TROJANS!!! ( i know USC has nothing to do w/ this question, just thought id add a lil Trojan love in the mix!)
