I was accused of a felony agaist a police officer, later turned into misdemeanor and much latter turned into a deal in which I must complete community service to gain just an infraction.
Now, what is the statute of limitations to sue the city?

For misdemeanors, the statute of limitations is two years and felonies are three years unless the criminal code provides other statute of limitations(IE: murder has no statute of limitations for example).Check with your jurisdiction but it is probably 2 years to sue on your case.

Civil cases DO have statute of limitations. Car wreck cases are two years to file a lawsuit in the case, for example!

Quite aside from the question of what grounds you have to sue the city....

I do not believe there is a statute of limitations in general for civil matters. That doesn't mean that you can wait as long as you want, because the longer you wait, the less sincere your injury will seem.

Since the offense is just minor, the statute of limitations is maybe a few months only. Thus, the case must be filed immediately in order that it will not prescribe.
