I got engaged after dating for three weeks and we got married 4 months later!
I've been married for 3 years now. We figured, "What the heck, why not!" So many marriages end in divorce anyway, so we have an equal chance of success as anyone else, right?

Dated for four months and got married and have been married for 2 1/2 years. It has been rocky due to the fact that we got married too quick but hey, I love him and we are starting to work through some things and I think we will be together forever. I wouldn't recommend anyone else do that though.

not sure of the question but sometimes having time away from a relationship is the best way to know if it will work in the future. also a year can be all the time that's needed to decide you are both ready for marriage.
