I'd have to say no, they won't get along. It would be fine to OWN both, but not to keep them together or let them interact. And I wouldn't bne worried about the bunny hurting the ferret- I would be worried about the opposite. Ferrets are meat eaters (predators, while rabbits are veggie eaters and prey. In the wild, rabbits are one of ferrets main meals (same with weasles, who are related to ferrets).

Have you ever seen a sign ' do not touch, they may bite' stick on the ferrets cage? but not on the rabbit's cage. I guess that tells a lot.

Don't u try to do that. I love rabbits so much. Ferrets can bite, they r more like predators, and rabbits are prey. If u really want a ferret, keep it in another cage.

What i could recommend is a rabbit. At maximum animal shelters, they have better than they'd handle. you may want a extra robust cage than with a hamster, yet many are muddle field experienced so this is extra like a cat. Rabbits are fairly candy and loving. in case you do come to a determination on a Rabbit, get a extra robust cage to maintain anyplace, yet a muddle field to maintain the place they could have speedy get right of entry to. That way you will desire to positioned the Rabbit interior the cage while its homestead on my own yet on your place while your place. Or a even better theory. Make the cage sufficiently huge for a letterbox. Then positioned the muddle field interior the cage. Then bypass away the cage open whenever you're homestead and would watch him-her. That way they have a muddle field of their cage. the only draw back is that it may would desire to be a sort of extensive cage. i could say 2ft or 3 ft with the aid of 3 ft of four ft. it may selection with the dimensions of your rabbit. I wish i'd desire to have a rabbit yet authentic now I certainly have a cat and he's fairly deadly.

Ferrets and Rabbits aren't a good idea together. I am a representative of a major pet food vendor and recently visited one of my stores early one morning to find the employees cleaning up a rather bloody massacre that occurred during the night when one of the ferrets escaped from it's enclosure and killed or maimed every guinea pig and rabbit in the adjoining pen.
The ferret was still a youngster. It was a nasty sight.

Have you tried 'babysitting' a ferret??? If you love them more power to ya but I've found them to be twice the stink and mess and only half as cute. Also, I've found that no matter the species it's the temperament that matters with animals, my horse raised the best litter of barn kittens! Yes, I am from Texas!

First off...it's ferret....and no ferrets and rabbits DON'T get along,
Ferrets were bred to HUNT rabbits and they are a natural food of a ferret. If you've never had a ferret before, please do not get one.
They need special care and need it 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
If you didn't know how to spell ferret and think ferrets don't have natural instincts (to kill rabbits and mice, etc), then you aren't ready to own a ferret. Please do me this favor and stay away from owning a ferret till you are older and know how to take care of animals.

(I've owned ferrets for almost 17 yrs...I KNOW what I'm talking about...I have 4 now...2 were rescues from some idiot who thought ferrets belonged in a HAMSTER cage, outside and fed McDonalds food....now I own them...they have walking/running problems and one is deaf...luckily I can/will take care of them for the rest of their lives in a correct FERRET manner.)

ferrets are a great pet. I would keep the ferret in a cage and if it is out, supervise it, once the rabbit gets used to it being around, it will be fine with it. My cat loves my sons ferret that is here, they play etc but sometimes she gets a little rough so we have to be there to say be nice in a loud tone, I think she gets a little jealous of him but most of the time she is pretty nice around here, they laid under the christmas tree together.

No, your rabbit won't bite the ferret...but the ferret will probably end up killing your rabbit.
