My mom still won't let me wear makeup until like college(when ihave a job), but i don't care xD.
I think everyone looks beautiful the way they are.

What age do you think a girl should be able to start wearing makeup.

I think it depends on your background and how you and your parents feel about your wearing makeup while you are still underage and living with them. I think it is okay for girls to start wearing makeup like lipgloss and maskara at age 14-15 (when high school starts). Some Girls have acne and even though it isnt a good idea to wear makeup to cover acne, they might get made fun of for having pimples, i think it is okay to cover up bad acne with some tinted acne creme or with some mineral foundation. Your parents may not want you wearing makeup right now because they either dont think you are mature or old enough or they dont want guys to get the wrong impression of you. I started to wear makeup when i was 15-16, but even before that my parents let me wear a little foundation and some maskara. Maybe you don't need makeup and that is why your parents are telling you that you cant wear it. If you are beautiful without it then there is no need for it right?

Convince your parents that you are mature enough to take care of your makeup and yourself and start off buy just using some creme blush, lipgloss, and maskara (that is the best look anyways) If you have acne prone skin, use mineral foundation which is actually good for your skin, find some mineral bronzer or blush, but stick to the basics while you are young and live your life day to day. Be young while you can and enjoy it, you don't need makeup to do that. :-D

I'd say lipgloss at 9 or 10 and everything else after 15 0r 16

but just not too much.

Too much makeup can really take a toll on your skin later in life. Infact it can clog your pores and make you much more likely to get wrinkles in old age earlier.

Plus less just looks more classy and fresh.

:D

Best of luck!

I mean hey saying only lipgloss at 13 is pretty sad...i mean all lip gloss is is shiny, smooth chapstick! I think you could put on however much you want as long as it looks natural in JR HIGH. I am 12, and I wear mascara, eyeshadow, bronzer, eyeliner, and lipgloss, and I am in JR HIGH. I mean the fact is, even thought these older people think you could only wear lipgloss at age 13, most girls and guys already are no longer virgins (sadly) so yea. Thtas my point.

High School age if they want to. A lot of people are beautiful without makeup at all. If your mom does not want you to wear makeup yet I'm sure you fit this category.

your mom is right. you really shouldn't be putting any make-up on when your that young. my friend [who is 20] starting wearing make-up [like foundatinon, eyeshadow, mascara] at the age of 13. she has WRINKLES already and she is very young. her eyelashes are almost all gone. now, she has to ALWAYS wear make-up. [she wore make-up because it was an obssession]

wearing lip-gloss or lip-balm is always okay. && wearing mascara or eyeshadow once in a while for a concert or special occasion is okay too. just try avoiding what my friend did- wearing make-up all the time..

Honestly-a girl should wear make-up when she needs to.

Well, Im 12 and I wear, lipgloss, eyeliner, and thats it, but EIGHTEEN?! Thats a little crazy,
I think it depends on how they wear it. Some 8th graders in my school who look like clowns. And my mom even tought me to put my eyeliner on the right way so I didnt look like them.

I think lipgloss is acceptable at any age

I think 13 is a good age to start but just lipgloss, eyeshadow, and mascara to start. No eyeliner or blush or foundation or lipliner and other makeup 'till older.
