KEIGEL exercises are the ones that are meant to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles ( the muscles that support the bladder, rectum and the uterus ). They are stretched when the baby is born and become weak as a result. So these exercises are meant to bring them back into shape and include exerting pressure as when you do to urinate and defaecate.
They are important because if the pelvic floor becomes weak they will not be able to support the bladder, rectum and the uterus and they will prolapse ( come down ) and cause problems with urination like incontinence ( involuntary passage of urine ) and defecation like constipation. If that occurs they will have to be surgically repaired.

arent they exercises in your vagina.i hear your keigal excercises could be as simple as when you pee, you stop your pee and then let it flow out again. and do that a few times. and supposedly when you do that it tightens your vaginal area. you should be able to get good at it though.

I've been doing Keigal exercises ever since I knew what they were... which was when I was about 17. My fiance always tell me how "tight" I am, so I think they really pay off!
And they're good for you for when you get older also.
Do them! I'm doing them right now, that's how easy it is!

Those are the exercises that strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. Especially good for people that have just had babies.
