That *is* indeed an interesting question, my Dear, but there's one teensy little broken cog in your theory. Although I adore men in general I abhor their trouser snakes and I want that piece of their anatomy no wheres near me. Good try though.

I disagree. I hate it when anyone says "Everyone is bisexual." What is the basis for your believing that? Would you like it if someone said "Everyone is straight." or "Everyone is gay."? Until you have some method to read everyone's sexual orientation, such blanket statements are bogus, and they really are awful. Just like those people who say the bisexuality doesn't exist cut down bisexuals, saying that everyone is bisexual cuts down straight and gay people.

I believe that there are people out there who simply have no desire to be with the 'other' sex (whatever other that is- same or opposite) at all. They are 100% straight or 100% gay and never dally in between, and it has nothing to do with being open-minded- just about the lack of attraction there. I also believe that they're rare- most of us have some degree of attraction to both sexes, however slim, and we still call ourselves gay or straight. That's fine; however you wish to identify yourself, whatever feels right.

But no, not everyone is bisexual.

I don't think this is true. I wish I was bi. That way I would be able to search for someone to love who wasn't just a man. I would be able to have a more diverse life style and experience different things from what I was raised with and find someone truly special who might have more in common with me if I didn't find a man I loved. I wouldn't mind loving a woman at all. But I am only bi-curious. Women are beautiful and sexy, but they don't really do it for me. Breasts don't turn me on, and I never liked anything below the waist. There just isn't the attraction.

I certainly wouldn't rule out that notion. I know many scientists have found that several species of animals are indeed bisexual. Personally, I think of myself as gay because I am sexually attracted to men, however I have never had a sexual relationship with a man or a woman.

I completely agree. I think that we're subject to so much conservative propaganda, that a lot of our society thinks that being gay changes you as a person and automatically makes you evil. I think that if people were left untouched by conservative views, they would be way more open to trying and accepting new things. This is especially proven by young kids. They always seem to think that people of the opposite sex are "icky". Perhaps this shows that bisexuality or homosexuality is part of innocence and non-judgment, and that only people who have been constantly bombarded with the idea that homosexuality is wrong are so against it.

No, I don't. I believe there are many people with whom this might work out with, but there are those people who are completely and utterly one hundred percent one way. I'm a hundred percent gay, my best friend has got to be the straightest man I've ever met. I believe people who are like 85-90% hetero or gay might try out with the same/opposite gender if this society didn't have such grotesque sexual taboos, but they would still vastly prefer the usual sexual partner.

Although I think there are a higher number of bisexuals than are realized, I also think there are people who are 100% straight and people who are 100% gay. I 'tested it out' with the opposite sex, and all it did was confirm to myself that I happen to be 100% gay.

I'm bi myself, so I can't really answer your question, but I don't know, I know a few lesbians that are horrified of ever having sex with a guy, and of course straight guys that are the same way. I know a lot of straight guys who are very accepting of gays but would never date one. I do believe in bisexuality (as I am one ;) ) but I don't believe everyone is.

The way I see it is something like this:

Heterosexual ................ Bi ................ Homosexual

Everyone falls somewhere on one of those thousands of little dots in between. Some can be strictly one or the other, some can be hetero in action, but turned on by the same sex and would never act. While others are homo in action and turned on by the opposite and would never act. Others lie directly in the middle where anything goes.... Everyone lies somewhere on this spectrum and there are varying degrees of heterosexuality and homosexuality.

i think that if you have curious thoughts you should persue them but dont let people judge you because they are not open minded enough to explore, everyone is curious in some shape or form but they dont want anyone to know because its taboo to others
