Since this is in the computer hardware section I assume you're talking about a screw in a computer.

Well, I use my pocket knifes nail file when I don't have a screw.
A philips screw can be unscrewed with a flat head screwdriver or just about anything that will fit in the socket and not break when twisting it.

On a fun note... you can unscrew a broken lightbulb with a potato cut in half. (make sure the power is off)
